Among other gifties awaiting a visiting sister today (she's had a rough year) is a Moleskine 2009 journal. We used these as a university student in France & were pleased (& surprised!) to receive some because we wrote about a Moleskine fundraiser for Amnesty International. (Some years ago--we bought this one:)
It's amusing that so many people think: 1) Moleskine users are snobs; 2) Moleskiners are "good" snobs. Give us a break--we used them as a kid. When that's the case, maybe it's just that you love them & had no idea that they had become "cool." (That was the case until receiving those free ones in the post.)
To personalize the new book, we've included various stamps for holidays, tucked in some stationery, a few cool postcards, two photographs-from-slides of her as a giggly young girl, an Obama sticker, a Julia Child soup recipe, stuff like that. We hope she'll like it.
Yesterday, automatism published some lovely photos by Venice's Alice Lucchin. Without Soul (including Moleskine photo), here. Lori's post about Alice. Enjoy.
ciao-meow,
